This animation is inspired by the Dulmuluk theater, which is one of the traditional theater arts in Palembang. Dulmuluk was originally inspired by an Arabian trader named Wan Bakar. In the 20th century, Wan Bakar recited the adventure story of Abdul Muluk Jauhari, which was taken from the Syair Sultan Abdul Muluk book and written by Raja Ali Haji. This story became so popular that it gained fame and was performed by several actors and musicians. Dulmuluk is usually performed at various events, such as weddings or events like when shaving a baby's hair.
